THE BLOODY GREEN LAND

In the ugly  presence of war

I only see abundant peace

Even when the bombs are exploding

I hear no sound

Though evil men have captured the atmosphere

I fear not

Though the tears in my eyes have decided to betray me

Because my mindset is getting use to the news flash

“ BOKO HARAM BOMBS A CHURCH IN JOS WITH 200 PEOPLE DEAD”
" BOKO HARAM ABDUCTS OVER 200 FEMALE STUDENTS IN BORNO"

Our leaders are  more confused than we the people

At night our elites draws the map for them to execute

And in the morning we cry and beg for intervention

Everyday we get assurance by the government and international community

That they will end this ugly face of terror in our once green land

The next minute another bomb explodes

Our green land has turned bloody

Even when we are crying for them to bring back our girls

They held on tight. Tighter than tight and stronger than strong

Though sooner than later, we shall overcome

Yes we shall over come this ugly terror

But we must collectively fight this terror as a common enemy.
