It has been confirmed that there will be a partial solar eclipse in
Nigeria at about noon today. The National Space Research and Development
Agency (NASRDA) made the prediction at a press conference held in Abuja
over the weekend.
The director-general of the agency, Prof. Seidu Mohammed, described
eclipse as a natural astronomical event with no significant negative
implication, and urged Nigerians to remain calm as the eclipse will not
hinder normal activities. But from a research done by Naija Info Web,it has been gathered that, it is not advisable to gaze at the sun without proper eye protection. Please never view the sun with your naked eyes or with any optical device like binoculars or telescope.
